The summit will bring together Heads of State or Government to adopt a political document that will help implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This summit will address gaps and recommit to the principles outlined in the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and Programme of Action and give momentum towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The summit is tasked with advancing social development and justice, and the implementation of and successor to the SDG. Focused on equity, inclusion, social justice, and non-discrimination, the Summit underscores the pivotal role of social perspectives in achieving the SDGs and ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of sustainable development.
