The 2018 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), the essential global forum for reviewing successes, challenges, and lessons learned on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), will be convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council from with the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum convened jointly with the high-level segment of the Council from 16 July to 18 July 2018. The forum was established at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), held in Rio de Janeiro in June 2012. It is to promote and review the implementation of sustainable development and to provide political leadership, guidance, and recommendations.
