The three-day workshop on the Application of Fit-For-Purpose Land Administration in the Arab Region will explore and showcase various country examples and developments in legislation, governance, hardware, software, and processing solutions that support FFPLA. The event builds upon the Arab Land Initiative, which envisions that people in the Arab countries will enjoy equal and affordable access to land, peace, stability and economic growth by working together on good land policies and transparent, efficient and affordable land administration systems.
The GLTN Workshop on Fit-for-Purpose Land Administration (FFPLA) will take place in Tunis, Tunisia from 6-8 December 2023 and is organized by CRTEAN, Kadaster International, the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente and supported by UN-Habitat.
Objective
The aim of the workshop is to explore, engage and exchange experiences and views on the FFPLA and its implementation with a particular focus on governance issues, technical solutions, the integration of tools and approaches in the Arab Region as well as the adaptation of FFPLA to specific local contexts. Application
The participation in the workshop is free of charge for a maximum 10-15 stakeholders, especially government representatives. Interested candidates are kindly requested to send a completed application form and their resume to the following email address: Crtean.gashut@yahoo.com
The selection of candidates will be based on the resume provided and form submitted. Women and young professionals are encouraged to apply.
Deadline for application is 5th November 2023.
Travel and accommodation expenses, as well as daily meals and drinks will be covered by GLTN for selected participants. However, travel insurance, local travel in the participants’ home country, visa fees and processing fees will be at the responsibility of the selected candidates.
