The Thirteenth Session of the Working Party on Land Administration (WPLA) will provide an international platform for exchange on issues related to land administration and management. Representatives of the UNECE member States will elect one Chairperson, two Vice-Chairpersons and and as many additional Bureau members as WPLA deems appropriate during the session. They will also review the implementation of the programme of work of the WPLA since the Twelfth Session in 2021, decide on the next programme of work for the biennium 2024-2025, review and approve the draft Terms of Reference for the period of 2025-2030.
Moreover, the Working Party will consider megatrends challenging governments in the ECE region and beyond, including ecosystems and security in land administration. The session will also feature strategic discussions on accelerated digitalization and the future role of land administration as well as sustainable development and security of property rights in the region and beyond.
