France and Kenya convene the Heads of Delegation meeting on Adequate Housing for All at WUF12

In light of the first convening of the Open-Ended Intergovernmental Expert Working Group in December 2024 in Nairobi, France and Kenya with support from UN-Habitat will bring together the Heads of Delegation present at the World Urban Forum in Cairo to strengthen the coalition of countries championing Adequate Housing for All while broadening support.

This meeting on the implementation of the Adequate Housing for All Resolution will offer the opportunity to raise awareness about the Resolution and its objectives, expand support among Member States, engage other key actors such as financial institutions and local authorities to reinforce collective efforts.

Specifically, the meeting will strengthen the coalition of countries championing adequate housing for all; engage Member States to raise awareness about the United Nations Habitat Assembly Resolution on “Adequate Housing for All”, its objectives and expand support; align expectations for the implementation of the Resolution; engage international financial institutions and local authorities; and, assess and confirm contributions available to support the Resolution’s implementation.

Meeting details:
Wednesday 6 November 2024, 10:00-12:00 | Roundtable room B, Hall 1, Egypt International Exhibition Centre
