Morocco to host the Third Arab Land Conference in February 2025

The Kingdom of Morocco and GLTN’s Arab Land Initiative are pleased to announce that the Third Arab Land Conference is scheduled for February 18th to 20th, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco. This event will accommodate both in-person and virtual participation, making it accessible to a wide audience.

Organized by the Moroccan Ministry of National Territory and Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, UN-Habitat, and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), the conference is held in collaboration with key partners such as United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (UNESCWA), the League of Arab States, the World Bank among others, with support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).

Building on the successes of the previous conferences in Dubai (2018) and Cairo (2021), this third edition will focus on advancing land governance in the Arab region. The conference aims to enhance land management, share country experiences, present new research, and empower land stakeholders to drive meaningful progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Registration will open by the end of September 2024. Experts, practitioners and partners are invited to submit papers and organize side events. More details on this regard will be available soon on the Arab Land Initiative website.

The official announcement is available in English, Arabic and French.

We look forward to your participation in this important event!
