Kadaster International, The Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency, collects and registers administrative and spatial data on property and the rights involved (including ships, aircraft and telecom networks) in order to protect legal certainty. Kadaster is a non-departmental public body, operating under the political responsibility of the Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment.
Kadasteris responsible for national mapping and maintenance of the national reference coordinate system. This is besides being an advisory body for land-use issues and national spatial data infrastructures. Kadaster also contributes to the welfare and prosperity of those countries where land administration is still a relatively new issue.
