Malaysian Prime Minister highlights the Continuum of Land Rights

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17th June 2014:  During the opening ceremony of the 25th Congress of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 16 to 21 June 2014, the Malaysian Prime Minister, the Hon. Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, highlighted the importance of the Continuum of Land Rights approach and the Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM) to secure land and property rights for all.

The GLTN partners and secretariat are present at the Congress in large numbers, having just completed a Training of Trainers session on STDM. The STDM source codes will be r

 

eleased during a special session on Friday 20th June. GLTN will continue the week promoting the GLTN agenda through various special sessions, including the Continuum of Land Rights, the Improvement of Women’s Access to Land and the Costing and Financing of Land Administration Systems (CoFLAS).
