Stronger women stronger cities: UN-Habitat’s action for change 2020 – 2025
This publication presents a summary of UN-Habitat’s gender equality impact over the past five years, in line with the Beijing reporting cycle.
The report examines the situation for the nearly six million women and girls internally displaced in Africa who experience violence, forced evictions and discrimination, with restricted access to redress. It is based on NRC’s legal assistance (ICLA) programmes in South Sudan, Somalia, the Central African Republic and Côte d’Ivoire; countries with some of the highest levels of internal displacement.
