Land is fundamental to address urban and rural challenges and it cuts across all sectors.

These include dealing with governance and legislation, city extension, densification, urban policy, housing, food security, slum upgrading and prevention, economy through land-based financing, water and sanitation, infrastructure, urban mobility and transport, planning, public space, municipal finances, employment and job creation, safety and security as well as dealing with post-conflict and post-disaster contexts, gender, youth and human rights issues.
