A joint international conference on geoinformation will be held 24-26 September 2024 in Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The joint conference comprises of the following:

The joint conference will feature technical sessions, pre-conference tutorials, exhibitions, and technical & social visits. You are cordially invited to share your recent works and experiences with others by presenting your technical papers.

All geoinformation related professionals, researchers, and students are encouraged to present and share their works at the upcoming international conference.

Call for Papers
This 5-in-1 conference encourages paper submissions in various aspects of geospatial domains especially within the scope of LADM, 3D Land Administration, FIG Commission 7 – UN-GGIM Framework for Effective Land Administration (FELA), Fit-for-Purpose Land Administration (FFPLA), Women’s Access to Land (and administration), FIG Commission 5 – Standards, Quality Assurance and Calibration, 3D Reference Frames, Vertical Reference Frames, GNSS, Multi-Sensor-Systems, Cost Effective Positioning, Land administration Education, Digitally Integrated Land Administration (tenure) and Management (land use planning), Comparative Land Administration (and the future of the Cadastral Template).

The conference also covers Geomatics, Cadaster, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Real Estate, Valuation Information, Spatial Planning, 3D City Modelling, Digital Twins, Geospatial Science & Artificial Intelligence (AI). Other related disciplines within geospatial domain including Mapping Sciences, Hydrography, and Oceanography are also encouraged.

The Strengthening Advisory Capacities for Land Governance in Africa (SLGA) Programme, through the Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA), in collaboration with the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), is pleased to invite you to the Joint Launch of the Teaching Essentials for Responsible Land Administration (TERLA) MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) and Book.

This event marks a milestone in the global effort to promote responsible land administration teaching resources. It will celebrate the transformation of the TERLA from a knowledge product into a global public good available in multiple formats — an evolution that started as from draft document, then developed into an e-learning, and then to book and now to MOOC.

Land-Based Finance learning session 'Land Value Capture models in Latin America – experiences from Colombia and Argentina'

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN- Habitat) and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), in partnership with the Local Government Revenue Initiative (LoGRI) of the International Centre for Tax and Development (ICTD), have the pleasure of introducing the fifth series of learning sessions on the theme of “Land-Based Finance: Policy Innovations and Implications for Leveraging Land for Building the Social Contract, Service Delivery, and Governance”.

As in the first four series, the overall purpose is “Bringing together partners, experts and implementers to learn about advances, good practice, innovations and challenges, and to create opportunities for collaboration.”

The fifth learning series aims to foster active participation and ownership among participants of the Learning Series to explore innovative practices by inviting professionals, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to submit their proposals to present experiences, share lessons, or discuss specific challenges related to land-based finance.

The first session of the fifth series of our Land-Based Finance learning sessions with the title ‘Land Value Capture models in Latin America – experiences from Colombia and Argentina’ is scheduled to take place on 28 July 2025 from 17:00 to 19:00 (EAT).
