Thank you for your interest in the work of the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN).

GLTN is a dynamic, multi sector alliance of over 80 global and regional level partners including rural and urban civil society organizations, professional body organizations, training and research organizations and multilateral and bilateral organizations. There are also individual members who join GLTN for the association and information exchange.

 

Joining the Network as a Partner


For your organisation to become a Partner of GLTN, it has to:

  • Be a global or regional institution, or network.
  • Agree with the values and approaches of GLTN and be interested in the advancement of GLTN’s strategic plan.
  • Be prepared to make a substantive contribution to the Network.
  • Join the network for non-commercial purposes.
  • Sign onto the GLTN Partnership Charter.

What’s the process?


Step 1: Write a formal letter to the GLTN Secretariat and email to Robert Lewis-Lettington at unhabitat-gltn@un.org outlining the reason for joining and indicating how the organization embodies the values and approaches of GLTN.

Application letters should be addressed as follows;

Send the duly authorised application letter to us, with the subject line Application for GLTN Partnership’. You will be notified after your application has been considered.

Step 2: If your application is successful, you will receive an acceptance letter.

Step 3: Submit a signed copy of the GLTN Partnership Charter, in acknowledgment of Step 2 above. This should also include key organizational details and the key contact persons (main and alternate focal points) who will represent your organization in the Network.

Step 4: Based in information shared in the previous  steps, the GLTN Secretariat will discuss with you which of the 4 GLTN Clusters your organization will be placed in. You will then be introduced to the Cluster co-leads and the Secretariat focal point for the Cluster. Towards ensuring that there is mutually beneficial collaboration between your organization and GLTN, we encourage you actively engage with cluster activities in support of the realisation of the goals  outcomes of the 2019-2023 programme and the GLTN Strategy 2018-2030.
