THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMMUNITY LAND AND RESOURCE RIGHTS

Inequality and the marginalization of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and rural women is driving political unrest, challenging conventional development models, and increasing calls for social, economic, and environmental security across the globe. Today, nearly a third of the world’s population lacks secure rights to the lands and forests they customarily claim. This insecurity undermines global progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the climate change commitments of the Paris Agreement.

The Stockholm Conference is the largest international conference advancing joint efforts to secure the land and resource rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and rural women.
